Resources Center

Poverty Alleviation Centre

Poverty Eradication Centre (PEC) is Greatway Entrepreneurial Training Centre, a constituent division of the Greatway Foundation, which specialises in improving the lives of members of the public and beyond. This is by targeting the hard to reach people, who are in need of help for further development and change of life style, being open, friendly, progressive and outward-looking. We also build bridges to the wider community.

We organise with recognised bodies an annual conference with the theme “War Against Poverty”. This has led to the establishment of on-going credit union, training, Job Club, and writing Buisness Plans, establishment of small scale business and expansion of existing business by clients.

PEC is an innovative community-led training centre. Having being in the community field for a number of years, PEC has vast expertise in dealing with life issues and challenges, especially in area of career development. PEC is like a home; taking care of diverse individualistic needs.

The uniqueness of PEC is that it provides the widest opportunity for learning and further development. The centre specializes and delivers a range of life skills and career progression programs on the practice of Entrepreneurship to inspire, re-orientate, educate and build skills with the mission “empowering for achieving Goals”.

PEC works closely with the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce, University of Edinburgh and Job Centre Plus.

Greatway Micro-Finance is a special center under PEC that will source funds for those who wants to run their own business or requires loan.
