The “African For Conservation“ Project: Development Officer Terms & Conditions:

Fixed Term to 31st March 2017 Salary & Hours: Part-time (25 hours per week) – Can be negotiated and determined based on experience

Office Base: Edinburgh Your role will involve helping to coordinate activities of the “Low Carbon Edinburgh African Caribbean Community Scheme“ at Greatway Foundation.

You will positively encourage the people of the African Caribbean Communities in Edinburgh to reduce their Carbon footprint, help the people within those communities save Energy and money, identify opportunities for the delivery and future development of the project, communicate as agreed with the board with all parties through all available media, develop the Low Carbon Edinburgh African Caribbean Community Scheme team and project, induction and training of volunteers. Must be ready to work flexible hours sometimes.

You must have at least 1-year experience working with the African and Caribbean Communities on sustainable development issues.

Greatway Foundation welcomes any individual who would like to donate their time to help the community.

Our existing volunteers form a unique mix of skills, personalities and have different life experiences. We have a broad range of activities you could get involved in, should you wish to.

We value our volunteers very much and we offer them the chance to improve their skills, discover them selves and compare notes and experiences during our Volunteers’ social events.
